Melbourne Compounding Centre was formerly part of Williamstown Pharmacy. It is now a dedicated compounding-only pharmacy. It is no longer associated with Williamstown Pharmacy, which is now part of the National Pharmacies group.
Peter Tantau (former proprietor of Williamstown Pharmacy) has formed a partnership with Angela Wong at the Melbourne Compounding Centre. Samantha Antoni has joined the team and is now assisting with administration and customer service.
Peter Tantau B.Pharm graduated in 1969. He has been managing Williamstown Pharmacy, along with his brother, for the past 21 years and has been acknowledged by both his staff and the local community as an honest and friendly pharmacist. Angela Wong B.Pharm graduated in 1995 and received the pharmacy gold medal for the year. Since her graduation, she has been working closely with Peter and the team at Williamstown.
Together in the year 2001, Pete and Ange joined and trained with PCCA, Professional Compounding Chemists of Australia, (started by PCCA, Professional Compounding Centers of America) and that’s where their compounding journey began. Apart from training, PCCA also provides extra expertise from consultants both in Australia and the United States. Pete has also attended their annual Andropause Symposium in Houston Texas in 2002.
