Compounding is preparing customised personal medication usually on doctor’s prescriptions.  It is something pharmacists have been doing for100’s of years.  What is new, is the equipment, the methods and new active ingredients.

 

We compound hormonal compounds with bio-identical hormones (not the synthetic type you hear and read about) and preparations that are not commercially available in Australia.  We can also make up medications (if we have access to all the ingredients) that have been discontinued by drug companies.  Compounding is about problem solving and meeting individual patients’ needs.

 

We prepare transdermal gels and creams (to deliver medication through the skin which avoids stomach acids, by-passing the liver), topical (dermatological) creams, ointments, gels, capsules and lotions.  We prepare medications for your pets too (on a vet’s prescription)!

 

Our special interests are in Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy, dermatology, anti-ageing medicines and skin preparations.
